Overall, I really enjoyed this book though the pacing is off. It’s a slow burn which I don’t mind until it rushed through the important bits and neglecting details. It was also very obvious that the author is not American, especially not small town America. Other than references to specific landmarks I don’t think I felt like it was set in the states.
