An excellent intro to Norse mythology. An illustrated version of the Gylfaginning would be a perfect introduction into Norse mythology for children.

at first i was so intimidated by the prose edda because i thought it would be a difficult read, but i was proven completely wrong !!! this book is SO much more accessible and engaging than i initially assumed, and every chapter just keeps getting better and better! reading neil gaiman’s norse mythology before starting on the eddas is very helpful though because his introductions to these stories/characters are even more comprehensible than the eddas (duh) and he really made the stories so cohesive. and i really loved reading excerpts of poems in this book!!! i love that they’re so straightforward and easy to understand ! Anyway this book is full of annotations and highlights and the spine is cracked so it’s very much loved !
