Too much back and forth between the main characters.

This book and I pretty much hit it off right from the very first page. Chase Me has the right amount of charm, humor and banter--not too mention sizzling chemistry--between the main characters that I just knew right from reading that very first page, I was in love.
Unfortunately, that love that I was starting to feel was short-lived. The female protagonist, Roxy, kept going in circles regarding her feelings toward the guy, Louis, that it was enough to make a woman go mad with dizziness, ya know? Especially a certain woman named Marla who only had the right amount of patience that day but still not enough to deal with these characters' games.

But I guess it wouldn't really be fair of me to hold it against this book since the title pretty much already says CHASE ME so yeah. Hehehe. I should've known.
Nevertheless, even though Roxy made me dizzy and even if the climax was not so short of predictable, I still couldn't get myself to rate this anything lower than three stars. It made me laugh and still root for the characters so I think that's saying something. I've enjoyed some Tessa Bailey books in the past and even though I've all rated them three stars, I know that I will still keep coming back for more of her work.

Really enjoyed this straightforward, not weird romcom that was heavy on the comedy. The chase and the push and pull between them was just so much fun. The breakup happened at the 92% mark so it wasn’t a major part of the story and it was only because he lied to her to help her. I love how TB tells a story

I love a good Tessa Bailey novel (she's in my top 2 favorite romance authors), but... this was not a good one. It felt very surface level, the ending left a lot unresolved (though it does have 2 companion books), and the characters were annoyingly immature in a lot of ways. Even the spice was pretty vanilla, and this is Tessa-butt stuff-Bailey we're talking about! Come on!
