I love how cozy and happy this book is compared to the rest of the series. Its a good break in between ACOMAF and ACOSF.

I’m not really sure what purpose this novella serves in the overall series. The book is really short and only covers about a week’s worth of action in which the main cast of characters gather to celebrate a holiday. It is clear that the author is laying some ground work for future books, but I kind of wish that she had just continued on with a regular novel. The stories were fun and much more lighthearted in comparison to the first three, but the book itself felt a bit unnecessary.

feel like rhysand was like overly horny those first few chapters, like each chapter involved railing feyre like bruh you got eternity, chill. like feyre would mention moments of rhys being emotionally open about his past and feelings, like i would have liked to see that a bit more in rhysand’s chapter. also nearly all character driven, very little plot occurring.

This felt like the book equivalent of a TV show Christmas special. It was cute and cozy. Reading about the winter festivities made me was to sit on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa. That said, it didn't really add anything to the series. There were no major conflicts or resolutions. Hopefully, it will provide some useful context for the next book in the series.
