After all this slogging through moronic character names, endless death and characters who deserved numerous kicks in the skull, we receive the jumping off point for another trilogy?

This is the conclusion? I want to spit like the one character whose spitting starts to define him..

Puuuu-leaase. Sorry, my character Amando just grabbed the review away from me. But he is correct.

I am only giving this book two stars because certain aspects were quite fascinating. But everything else dragged the fascinating parts into the depths. 50 paged of fascinating out of 300 isn't a great ratio.

Again, puuuu-leaase. And *spit*.

The battle scenes were the best parts of this book. Characters who’s perspectives were well done to in the first 2 books became hard to read in this one. Book felt rushed at the end and the end left a lot to be desired. Series is good overall but after how much I loved book 2, this was a let down.

A fantastic end to the first trilogy in The Second Apocalypse. Not for the faint of heart, dark, gritty, but so fantastically philosophical.

It took me forever to finish this book...and that's never a good sign. I enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy but this last one was bad.

The reason people care about books are the characters. The arcs of Achamian and Esmenet are really what drew me in. And I was always rooting for those two to get back together. I also enjoyed learning about the Dunyain and Kellhus's journey. Yet despite how thick this book was, all of that was missing here.

I'm not entirely sure what this book was about even though there was a lot of it. I expected it to build toward the Holy War especially after the first two monstrous books. However, there's a lot of meandering and I feel like Achamian and Esmenet don't get enough time in this book. Kellhus does but his story is no longer interesting and he's kind of a dick.

The Thousandfold Though does eventually pick up towards the 50% mark but that's entirely too long. It also gets interesting towards the end but doesn't have a satisfying conclusion. More of a setup for the next series.

The best thing is that it ended 20% sooner than I thought it would have. I'm half-tempted to read the next trilogy as it does sound intriguing. But after reading some reviews, I think I'll pass. Feel like my problems continue in the next trilogy. Maybe there's a wiki I can just read or something.

Shame. This trilogy started out very promising but ended with a thud.

Very thought provoking. Not for the shy or prudish.

Welp, hate how this guys writes but hoped his intrigue would lead up to a satisfying conclusion, but nope, its like he said fuck it lets just make em all punch each other.

Enjoyed the conclusion, but I feel like the ending was a little rushed.
