All For You is a quick, short read which is good. I didn't care for the main character though I think if this would have been a longer story she wouldn't have been so annoying.

Anna is kind of in a slump. She has everything she thought she wanted, but she isn't happy. The last time she was really happy was when she was dating Max. Max who she let get away since they both had demanding schedules. He is a chef and she was in law school. When she really thinks about it she decides she is going to try and get Max back. She knows they would be great together. She is just hoping she is not too late.

Anna shows up at Max's restaurant one night and she is not very smooth. Max doesn't know why she is there and Anna comes up with this last minute catering job. She is just using it to as an excuse to try and get more time with him and he is happy to oblige. Then things heat up between them and it looks like Anna will get what she wants. Only Max is supposed to move across the country for a great chef gig that would help him advance his career and enable him to do what he has always wanted. Can they work it out?

So Anna was annoying to me in this book. She was too wishy washy. At first it was like I won't let anything stand in my way, then a small bump comes along and it is like well that is that. Then she decides she won't let that stop her, she will get Max back, then no, wait I should let him go without talking to him about it. I should just make decisions for him cause I love when characters do that. It was just frustrating. She was also very full of herself. The way she talked about things was just like she is the most amazing person ever of course she will get Max back (or whatever she wants). Her thought process just made me not like her at all. Since it was from her point of view it made the book not much fun to read. Oh well, it was a quick read so I didn't waste a lot of time on it.

I love everything Kate Perry writes! This was no exception. Perfect quick read between novels. She writes the best characters.

Was way too short! ;-) But I'm glad Anna and Max got their own story...

This Laurel Heights novel differed from all the others as we catch back up with Anna (from book 1). This follows her FAILED romance with Max. I see how you're switching things up there, Kate Perry. This novella also only features one POV and one romance, which is very different from the LH norm, but it worked.

I was just thinking, we have not heard much about Freya and Anna. In fact, the closest mention we got to Freya in recent books was something about seeing a tall red haired woman (who must've been Freya). It was nice to re-visit some old friends.
