Well now I finally understand what the heck Doom was trying to do here. I had been super confused before, because he doesn’t typically strike me as the type to take on stupid risks (well, not of that level at least). Now, while I don’t agree with it, I do get it.
This was a pretty interesting issue on the whole, between Doom’s plans and what was going on with the Fantastic Four (don’t want to spoil that bit though). It’s so easy to forget about the dynamics between them and Doom, but reminders like this sure do go a long way in showing us.
