The French language section was incredibly funny and a little to real. The rest of the passages could be read as a collection of short stories, and they where just that, but there seemed to be no connection of flow between them.
I loved this. Some of the stories had me laughing out loud (inviting some stares in the dentist's waiting room) - in particular the stories about his French language classes. Killed me! Sedaris has yet to let me down when I need to feel that deep in your gut, joy-filled hilarity.

Maybe if you're already a fan if his detached, neurotic style, this book delivers. But tonme it was like being cornered at a party by someone who overshares, and believes their awkwardness is quirky.
