An extremely odd book. Undoubtedly intriguing and very well-written.

I really loved it--the concept, the execution. It was a story both small and large, micro and macro, minute and all-encompassing.

This was the second try for this book and I just can’t do it.

I just can’t do the constant misogyny, abuse, and just depressing tone of this book. While I understand London in the 20s wasn’t a great place for women, I just couldn’t keep listening and hoping the main character would kill herself to reset her life.
