Overall… disappointing. Riordan’s story just didn’t have the typical flair, the usual panache. I was so excited to see him delve into Celtic mythology, but if this is any indication of what’s to come, I’m no longer looking forward to it.

I only marginally enjoyed 2 or 3 of the other “Riordan Presents” author’s short stories in the collection… the rest were a drag to get through. The majority read like poor Riordan remakes, just utilizing a few different mythologies.

Breaks my heart to dislike anything by Riordan, but between this and his other recently published work “Daughter of the Deep”, I’m starting to feel wary of insta-buying his books… hoping this doesn’t become a trend!

Overall a solid read! Most of the stories I really loved and now I want to read more of the Rick Riordan presents stories. But there where two stories I didn't enjoy one being the one Rick Riordan wrote which just annoyed me because it felt like most of the shit that went down in the story could have been avoided so easy by just talking to each other. The other story I didn't like was the one in the Tristan strong universe with was really annoying and felt quite forced . The rest of the stories were amazing though.

Thank you Netgalley and Disney Publishing for a review copy of this collection of short stories.

This collection of stories brings about the question of a multiverse, or as I like to call it now the Riordan-verse. Some stories were stronger than others, and I definitely was more drawn into the ones with the more familiar characters for me, but it was still a lot of fun and a great way to dip your toes into some of the other great Riordan reads stories from some fantastic authors.
