So I went into this book with an open mind hoping to enjoy it because I have heard mixed reviews. Also because I want to read Six of Crows which I heard is fantastic! But it just wasn’t for me. The universe itself was so cool and I like the world building, but the relationships between the characters didn’t always make sense. Especially Alina and Mal. Safe to say I’m going to dnf the rest of the series unless someone can convince me otherwise.

So good! As always, the books outshine an adaptation. This was quick and jumps right into the plot. World building is done organically and you can’t help but have a good time reading this.
