Wow this is amazing series that will have you loving the way the story plays out. I love how the age difference doesn’t stop a lady to get the man of her dreams.

This was so good I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I kept thinking the whole time this sounds so like Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory always analyzing over every little detail you couldn't help but fall in love with him and Carla who at the age of 15 fell in love with this strange guy and even though he told her she was too young that girl persevered and kept trying now at the age of 18 thing's look like they might be changing. I loved this story it had me laughing and tearing up just a fantastic story. You need to get the tissues ready.

Michelle Heard’s ability to not only write a story that consumes your mind but also brings the characters emotions to life inside you astounds me more with every book.

Carla has had feelings for Noah since she was in high school but when she expressed them to Noah his reaction was venomous leaving her heartbroken and mine with a splinter. I adored Carla; she was quirky, sassy, and wore her heart on her sleeve. You could feel the flickers of the connection they shared more so on Carla’s side at the beginning than Noah’s but that changed quickly.

Noah had reasons for his initial reaction to Carla’s feelings but as they were now living together at Trinity Academy his perspective of her began to change. Noah is highly intelligent, quirky, and the reigning king of alphas in The Heirs series.

One night of playing a drinking game with roommates ignited those flickers of a connection between Noah and Carla into an all-consuming connection that comes when you connect with the one person that brings tranquility to your soul by just existing.

Michelle Heard’s writing is nothing short of spectacular; she brings The Heirs world to life on the pages. A perfect infusion of an all consuming connection, a sassy heroine, quirky alpha hero, witty banter, profusely emotional, and steam.

Noah and Carla are the definition of couple goals! Noah has set the bar high for the remaining male heirs with this book from Michelle Heard. His need for knowledge, control, and to protect those he loves ticks ALL my boxes for favorite book boyfriend in this series!

Carla has been in love with Noah since she was 15, and she has the patience of a Saint as she waits for the right time to be with Noah. Noah is often misunderstood by most people due to his high IQ, and need to understand the world around him. Neither one has been able to make a relationship work, but together these two fit like a puzzle.

Carla has been one of my favorite characters in this series with her loyalty, love, and Disney movie quotes. She provides great comedic relief during tense moments, and unconditional support when it is necessary. My curiosity about Noah has stemmed from book 1 of the heirs, and I am so happy that he lived up to my expectations.

This book changes things up from what we have come to expect from the last 4 books, and sets the bar high for the remaining 3 books. I have no worries that Heard will keep delivering to the very last page of the series, and excited for what comes next.

I love Noah so much. This book was incredible. I was worried it was going to be a super slow burn because Noah was a jerk in the other books to Carla but everything happened perfectly.

Callous Heir is Noah West and Carla Reyes' story, two people who are always at each other's throats.

Warning: The books in this series feel the best when read in order.

Synopsis:
Carla has always been googly-eyed for Noah, but thinking of her as younger than him and a dreamer against his practical self, he always ignores her. At Trinity Academy, their group of friends share the same suite and it's practically impossible to not run into each other. What happens when Noah realises that he does have feelings for Carla?

Review:
I really enjoyed Carla and Noah sniping at each other almost every chance they got in the last book, and I couldn't wait to read their story. The story starts from when Carla was fifteen and Noah twenty. And how Noah gutted her by brutally turning down her declaration of love for him.

Carla is Jase Reyes' sister, Jase from [b:Arrogant Heir|56181285|Arrogant Heir (The Heirs #2)|Michelle Heard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1607269085l/56181285._SY75_.jpg|73908524], and I just knew that I'll love this book too! And Noah, well, we saw his caring side when he was with Kao after the latter's accident, as we read in [b:Defiant Heir|56344809|Defiant Heir (The Heirs #3)|Michelle Heard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1608448069l/56344809._SY75_.jpg|73462997].

Callous Heir runs parallel to the previous book, [b:Loyal Heir|56531298|Loyal Heir (The Heirs #4)|Michelle Heard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1611890218l/56531298._SY75_.jpg|73462998]. And I'd have loved to see, instead of reading, Carla's impersonations of her favourite animated movie characters. They seem to be that fun! Noah, with an IQ as high as his, has quite the dirty fantasies about Carla and fears that he is not the guy for her. Her being too innocent, as well as the way his complex brain works.

It was so sweet, seeing Noah struggling with what he felt, or if he even felt anything like love. And Carla, I felt sad for her, as Aria and Forest getting together seemed to break their three musketeers group and made her feel lonely.

But of course, it all turns out for the good in the end, even though there are quite some major hiccups along the way. These hiccups made the story more interesting though. Two things were the best in this story, the beautiful emotions and when the dirty fantasies were enacted. Yep!

Next up is [b:Sinful Heir|56900402|Sinful Heir (The Heirs #6)|Michelle Heard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1612115401l/56900402._SY75_.jpg|73908487], Tristan Hayes and Hana Cutler's story.

Thank you to Candi Kane PR for an e-ARC of the book.

P.S. My reviews of the books in the series is as follows:
Coldhearted Heir | Arrogant Heir | Defiant Heir | Loyal Heir | Callous Heir | Sinful Heir | Tempted Heir | Forbidden Heir

Huuuh, Noah & Carla’s story was not what I expected!!

Carla is in love with her brothers best friend since she’s 15. But Noah rejected her, and this hurt deep. That he’s not as nice to her as to all other girls hurts even more. Until they figure out a truce. And more.
It was great to see how Noah figured out his feelings. Being a genius that he is, that can be a hardship for some. But with some help he does.
Whereas Carla is as bubbly as she is, Noah is calm and collected. They feel like yin & yang for me. A perfect match!!

Excited to see how the series continues! I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

Ever since I finished the Trinity Academy series by Michelle, I have been so ready to read the spin off series starring their kids, and the kids from the Enemies to Lovers series. The crossover of these two worlds began in the final two books of the Trinity Academy series and I was excited to see all the kids grown up and ready to have their own HEAs. Callous Heir is book 5 in the Heirs series but can be read as a standalone.

Carla Reyes has had a crush on Noah West, 5 years her senior, since she was 15, but when she built up the courage to tell him, he understandably shot her down, but did it in the cruellest of ways. Three years later, there has been a strain between them ever since that day, with Carla trying her best to get over him, whilst Noah does his best to keep her away by acting cold towards her. But now living together at Trinity Academy, Noah begins to see that Carla has grown up, and begins to feel things for her, unexpected things. Noah is intelligent, needing facts and control, so doesn’t understand his change in emotions for her, and after becoming her friend, he realises he needs to see if these feelings he has will go anywhere. Carla is over the moon, and is ready for whatever Noah will give her, but neither of them expect the life changing event to take place soon after they begin dating. Now with a new path ahead of them, how will their new relationship fair?

Noah has always intrigued be with his science brain, and the belief that everything has an explanation. He had never really believed in love until his feelings grew for Carla, going as far as to read scientific papers to see what the science behind falling in love was. But when he gives into his feelings, he sees what he’s been missing all along, this connection to someone else that is like no other. His love for Carla grew quickly, but was so real, you could see their bond was genuine. Carla’s dreams came true the day that Noah said he would try a relationship between them, and I loved how she took it at his pace because it proved just how well she knew and understood how he worked. I loved her personality and her impersonations; they were so nicely woven into the plot and made her individual in such a large amount of characters in this series.

As a couple they were probably the most intense out of all of them so far, Noah was definitely the most alpha of the lot. It’s always the quiet ones

NOAH JUST TOOK THE TOP SPOT FOR ME!

Once again Michelle has knocked it out of the park with another one of the heirs and let me just tell you that Noah is now my top fave!

Ahhh this was so..... gahhh I don’t even have the words because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone!

But i love the moments between Noah and Carla and it just made me feel all mushy and in love even though I’m as single as a pringle

Arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a rollercoaster and a half, after reading Forest and Aria's book I was so excited and intrigued to read about Noah and Carla after the hints we got in the last book!

I was not expecting Carla and Noah's story to go the way that it did, it was so intense and unexpected! I felt the way the story was taken was perfect for Carla and Noah and I loved every moment of it!

I was on the edge of my seat for a while, not knowing what was happening, I thought the worst! The plot was great and I couldn't put this book down - I finished it in one sitting!

Carla was a great character - I loved all her Disney impressions, she is definitely my spirit animal and I adored Noah - they were so different and yet perfect for one another!

This series is definitely getting on the more mature side as all the characters are getting older and I'm so excited to see it, I'm also excited for the next few books as we move onto characters from other families! I'm so excited to see how it all goes!

Check out this book when it comes out January 18th!
