Grayson Tanner might be one of the founders of the hit sensation dating app Hooked, but Grayson does not do relationships + he doesn’t use his app for hookups . So when he catches the eye of the drop dead gorgeous waitress Jovana, he doesn’t think twice about having a one night stand with her because he knows he will never see her again . That is until a scandal breaks + his PR team gives him only one option .. get married to prove you have settled down + it’s just rumors . Luckily he knows a cute waitress, that also happens to be a social media star, that will make for the perfect wife + image clean up . Will the relationship end when their one year contract is up or will they decide the feelings have been real all along ?

I love this series from Marni ! They are such fun, quick, insta-love reads that always leave me with a smile on my face . Grayson + Jovana have such great banter between them which is always my favorite with fake dating/fake marriage ! The ending did feel a little rushed but I’m still excited to see where book 3 and the rest of the series has in store for us .

This is book two in the Hooked series + it can be read as a complete stand alone .

This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .

I keep going back and forth on this.  Greyson and Jovana were for sure sweet, but in the beginning I was really frustrated with Jovana. She for sure went all in with Greyson and I really couldn't figure out why. Like, any man that treats you that way, regardless of the glimpses you get is really showing their true selves to you. I just kept thinking, "Girl, he's just not that into you."  However, since this was a dual POV I knew that wasn't the case. IRL this is a situation where for sure it's better to cut and run for your mental and emotional well-being, but that's not how romance novels work.

Once I was able to suspend reality and get firmly into the romance novel world I really enjoyed this story. Jovana really is perfect for Greyson, and the growth that Greyson made was worth it in the end. They're freaking hot together and the book was steamy!

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC. This is my honest opinion.

She’s a bartender trying to make it big on social media. He’s a man who is known to be a player and a creator of a famous dating app. With a one night stand ending bad they never plan on seeing each other again. That is til a video goes viral, and he needs a fake wife. Enter Jovana who going to rock Graysons world.
.
MARNI DELIVERS AGAIN! I devoured this book, the characters, the plot, the flow, and the S P I C E! I was hooked right away, Jovana didn’t let Grayson be a cocky man like he was meant to be. She made him beg for what he wanted and I loved every second. Grayson was written so well, for being such a cocky man I still loved him. The banter these two had throughout the whole story was so good. I loved how even when walls started crashing they would make sure to communicate how they felt. I loved this book so much one of my tops of Marni’s now!

I have to say, Grayson was such a prick at first! The tension was so high which I enjoyed. He really redeemed himself though and was still so tense but in a loving way. I thought Jovana was a saint for putting up with him and staying consistent although I understand why he tried to fight it. Can’t wait for Holdens story!

I usually like the books written by this author but I just couldn't stand both the main characters in this one lol. Jovana was a hopeless idiot who fell in love right after meeting Grayson. I don't honestly know what she saw in him because he was a grade A asshole. All he did was objectify her until the very end and then suddenly out of nowhere, fell in love too. Also, what kind of friends were Holden & Easton anyway? They basically forced him to get married and all they thought was about their company's reputation.
As if this wasn't enough for me to hate the book, the last revelation struck like lightning. Jovana was the one who anonymously wrote the article about Grayson being on the yatch. And I don't think she even had an ounce of guilt for it. All we get is a rushed apology from her in the last chapter. Jovana was even more pathetic than Grayson lol.

With that being said, I don't think this series is worth giving a try because so far, all the characters were terrible and the plot was nonsensical tbh.

Grayson, Grayson, Grayson.

Grayson and Jovana spend a 🔥 night together, but he makes it ABUNDANTLY clear afterward that whatever they shared was only for one night. Jovana blindsided by this leaves his condo waving 🖕🏼 at him.

Imagine her surprise when she finds out that Grayson, who by all accounts is basically deathly allergic to commitment, is responsible for the marriage arm of Hooked and is on a yacht with 6 women toasting “long live bachelorhood”. Not a good look for Hooked. And the only way to fix it and help the company…you guessed it, get married. To whom? I’ll give you one guess….

Idk how @marnimann does it but every book she writes I absolutely love! This is the second book in the Hooked Series- a series of interconnected standalones. And let me tell you, Grayson is the biggest alphahole, but Jovana doesn’t back down to him and I love it!! Thank you so much @marnimann and @valentine_pr_ for the advanced reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
