What he loves in the face of a horrid life, he takes what he can in his own hands and makes a choice. Both options are bad, but one must be taken.

This is a short story in the world of earthsea before ursula K le Guin worte most of the world of earthsea.

It was nice to see some of the beginning

it was an ok story just not one of my favorites when compared to her others
