First graphic novel/manga. Was kinda boring tbh and hard to understand at first. Artwork was beautiful though

The English translations were a bit unnatural in the version I read. Because of that and the story not being longer for more development, it loses a star (although I still think it deserves five stars..I’m torn). I loved this so much. It was fresh, relatable, the art as always was amazing, it wasn’t too pretentious, like Punpun could be at times. It had all my favorites—music, romance—and the perfectly imperfect heartwrenching plot.

I really have to hand it to 浅野さん. He knows how to rip out my heart and make me feel empty inside. Every panel is basically wallpaper worthy, and there wasn’t a moment I felt the pacing was slow. Reading the Japanese version made me feel even more like that.

If I read the Japanese ver again some day when I’ve acquired more Japanese, I think it would surely get five stars from me!

This book oozes the nostalgia of youth. It brings you back to the directionless, hazy nights of nearly every 20-something. The days and nights spent with close knit friends that were utterly wasted in every sense of the word, but you wouldn't trade for anything.

This book is like sipping a Shlitz on a Wednesday morning because fuck it, I've figured it all out and don't have a care in the world.

This is, of course, a fallacy, which our heroes soon must learn.

The art work is excellent. I especially loved the sections of the band performing, represented over several pages without dialogue or onomatopoeia.

There's some terribly clichéd plot points and character reactions which are just strange. In a few sections, you may be left reasonably thinking, "okay. .. no one EVER acts this way." But the tone and characters were otherwise so charming, I chalked these up to losses in translation.

If you're a fan of warm, feelgood stories, slice of life, coming of age, or manga at all, this book is well worth your time.
