The Co-Op was cute and very fun!

I am always a fan of forced proximity romance, though second chance can be hit or miss for me. I think they balanced each other out pretty well in this case, and while the book didn’t wow me I still had a good time with it.

Read this if you love
🩵 Forced proximity
🩵 Marriage of convenience
🩵 Second chance romance
🩵 Hate to love
🩵 No third act breakup

I think that the book started to fizzle out a little bit toward the end, but the last two chapters were quite lovely. Definitely a lighthearted, low-angst romance. 3.75 stars.

The main guy character in this book talking about getting a tattoo only for the main guy character in Funny Feeling to get a tattoo warmed my hopeless romantic heart. This book is a solid five starts, there are no faults in this book. Tarah Dewitt is the newest author that I'm obsessed with.

This book gave very 'You Deserve Each Other' vibes with the forced proximity, emotional baggage and second chance trope but I was all for it! I really enjoyed the writing (it wasn't cringy therefore it is good because that is literally how low the bar is right now) and the pacing of the book, but it did feel a little rushed in some places. Love the name La Rynn, it's so pretty, and her character development gave me all the good feels. Deacon was a bit forgettable though. Overall a cute romance to drown out the sorrows of life in :)

The Co-Op is a second chance, marriage of convenience, "enemies" to lovers story and it is sensational. The first thing to say is that the characters are not immediately likeable; they’re flawed, defensive, combative and they project their insecurities onto each other. I grew to love them as they open up, we learn of their reasoning and motives for past actions and I was rooting for their happiness. They have a lot to overcome, together and individually , emotionally and physically and it makes their HEA that much sweeter in the end. LaRynn’s growth as a character both in terms of finding her place and with her relationships with Deacon and her mother are both heart-breaking and lovely. I cried so much reading this when the characters were hurt and acting out but also when they’re celebrating their wins.
I also love the way music is threaded through this story, attached to LaRynn’s awkward moments then lifting their everyday moments of domesticity.
A beautiful story filled with building tension, character growth and sweet moments.
