As a completely normal (not possessed) human I have to say that this has to be the greatest book in the multiverse! Bill's tragic backstory really makes you think twice about the whole Weirdmageddon business. Was Bill really a bad guy or was a just a misunderstood hero trying to save us from our boring mundane lives? I guess we'll never really know. Anyways! This book is the best and everyone should read it! Remember kids! Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!

What's super funny to me is that all 3 of the local libraries near me that have this book in their stacks didn't know how to categorize this wacky lil book.
- one had it in the adult graphic novels section
- the one to the north had it in the adult fiction section
- and the last one had it in the young adult fiction section
After finishing, I can confidently say that this one is none of the above, but a weirder, more niche kinda book.
Librarians take note: it's an adult picture book.
Similar to the madness of "Go the Fuck to Sleep" by Adam Mansbach, "Antiracist Baby" by Ibram X. Kendi, "Do You Want To Play With My Balls?" by The Cifaldi Brothers, this is not strictly a prose book since the images have such an integral part of the story, nor should this actually be shelved with the children's picture books despite it coming from a children's show since the images can be intense. And for goshdarned heck's sake, don't put it in the nonfiction section under Demonology.
...
the book itself is fine. Great lil look into our favorite chaos creature from Gravity Falls. But just like the random, illogical, and maddening main character, this book loves to shift art styles, formats, times, planes of existence, and authors. Surprise to no one, this book has spoilers about the end of the show but what do you expect when the last episode aired about 9 years ago?
And despite me not frequenting the Disney Channel anymore, I recognize the shout-outs to other animated shows they're well known for: Phineas & Ferb, the Owl House, and Amphibia off the top of my head. Not an absolutely essential part of the Gravity Falls lore, but still a fun time.
