A great follow up to the first book, but its constant gaslighting as narrative device was annoying at times. I mean that is part of story, and its on purpose (and kinda cool to do), but ive never read a book where it gaslights you about the events of the previous book.

Everything I loved about the first book was stripped away in this one. The author's desire to confuse the reader far outstriped her desire to tell and engaging story.
The personality shift and character swaps, while for a purpose, had me reading a book devoid of the elements that drew me to the story in the first one.
It all comes back around in the end for those that want to stick it out, but it was not an enjoyable process getting there and I feel could have been told more elegantly than it was.
