I don't think I got very far into this book, but maybe that's for the best. One thing that really bothers me, even now, is that I'm pretty sure the MC sexually assaults his love interest. Now, please correct me if I'm remembering wrong, but I very distinctly remember a scene early on where they're watching some play and the MC just slides his hand down the back of his friend's (future love interest) pants! The love interest is clearly upset and the MC doesn't understand why. Like WTF?!
I so desperately want this to have been some kind of fever dream, but the memory feels too real and has stuck with me for years at this point.
