This is the first book/novella I’ve read by Rayvn Salvador, and it will definitely not be my last. I loved Blue Forty-Two and finished it in less than an hour while on a road trip with my daughter. My daughter gave me crap about finishing it so fast, but Holden and Tamryn’s story hooked me from the beginning, and I’ve always been a fast reader.

I always love these types of stories where characters fall for one another in the workplace setting and are forced together because one refuses to give up on the other. This is the case with Holden and Tamryn. Tamryn is one of the injury management doctors on Holden’s team, and after he’s injured, she’s there to help him recover, even if he may never play football game. He doesn’t make it easy for her at first, but she’s one determined doctor and friend. I love how Holden and Tamryn try to fight their attraction for one another whenever they are together, but the more they spend time together, it’s inevitable that they are meant to be.

This is a perfect novella to read if you love football romance stories and love reading about a football player finding love with the injury management doctor who helps him through his injury. This novella had me in all the feels. I need more stories like this one, which is why I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Tropes:
🏈 Football Romance
🏈 Workplace Romance
🏈 Forced Proximity
🏈 Doctor/Patient

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Blue Forty-Two by Rayvn Salvador is a novella that is a part of the With Me In Seattle universe created by Kristen Proby. If you haven't read that series this is a small taste of that amazingness. The Quick Snap novellas are set in the realm of football.

This novella starts out very intense when star player, Holden, suffers a career ending injury. Tamryn is a doctor with the team who is tasked with helping him work through his injuries. They have an immediate attraction and they try to resist.

These are very quick reads but there is substance in the plotlines. I'm glad this was a novella. I think if it were a full length novel the medical aspect would bog down the romance. I felt like even though the medical aspect was not the full focus it was still handled well.
