While it wasn't quite what I expected in terms of other killers, the amount of details in this novel about John Gary are incredibly thorough. The relationship between the author and the killer was creepy and surreal and I often found myself wondering how a more modern example of this story would play out.

this book was horrifying but absolutely amazing. if you’re interested in true crime, you have to read this book. it was absolutely exciting, and i found myself on the edge of my seat.

Interesting, but I don't know if I believe all of the events of the book. Personally didn't like his writing style, with the "one-liner" feel at the end of every single chapter.

The premise of this book sounded interesting, but it just wasn't.

Moss is completely unlikable, unreliable, full of himself, and gross. His letters with the serial killers can't really be believed, but even if they were true - just not that interesting. Gross sexual fan fiction.

If I was Moss's relative, and I read this book, I would have stopped talking to him.
