This format is just really boring for me. You don't spend enough time with any single character to care about any of them.
Ughhhhh this was honestly such a good book and had me sucked in, but then it just kinda fell apart for me. its really tricky cause the first half was a 4 and then second half was a three. To its credit, it all flowed pretty well.
So like I was into the kinda history/interview aspect, especially in the beginning when it was all about the start and the zombies. But it just got so technical and military-esque, and idk i just wasn't feeling it. It was cool to have a comprehensive review, cause they literally go into everything. Islands, inland, submarines, caves, spaceships, dogs, cities, etc... Some narratives were fun and cool, and others were like i honestly don't care.
Overall cute and engaging, just wish it actually focused on the zombie war itself and what that was like. Not all the post-zombie cleanup, which was literally half the book, like we get it

Novel idea, interesting at first and then just starts to fade just past halfway. The completely fizzles our at the end. Loads of potential though, so much so you finish it a little bummed out.

In my humble opinion, this is the perfect post apocalyptic/ Zombie book. Told from a “journalistic” perspective with personal interviews from across the post Zombie war globe. Plenty of tension, but also just a really entertaining read. You can “hear” each voice so clearly and it truly felt like an in depth retrospective. I have a feeling I’ll be coming back to this for fun again and again.
