I loved this SO much - episodic accounts from interviewing loads of different people about the zombie war. Really unique take and way, way better than the film.
I got a little lost around all the acronyms but enjoyed how much that showed the world had changed - civilians becoming military.
Honestly, I really loved this. It's a really hopeful book too, reminds me a little of Day of the Triffids; it's a cosy catastrophe full of hope, not outright horror.

I had this bought for me as a present so I was looking forward to reading it, however, it’s clear now that this isn’t the type of book for me. I found the interview style of writing quite repetitive and it was hard to build any form of character development when there was no main characters. I ended up skimming ahead at the end of the book as well, which I never do.
I really loved the format of this book for some reason. A huge assembled collection of "interviews" with survivors of the zombie war, after it's (mostly) over. Each entry was usually quite small (1-5 pages), and followed this format: [1. location] [2. name / background context of interviewee] [ 3. interview ]
A real page turner for me.

Interesting for what it claims to be, a series of interviews concerning an apocalyptic outbreak of zombies that scars and changes the world. It was also interesting as an account of how quickly but not always quietly a world crisis can spread, and, as others have stated, a commentary on our culture's response to such events.
But in terms of literary style and moral interest, look elsewhere.
