I have to admit that this is a very good book, it just wasn't totally my thing. All the military stuff really bogged me down and made it hard to get through, and it read like a book of short stories, which isn't my favorite thing. But for people who are into zombies, history books, military, and short stories, it's a good pick and I would highly recommend it.
I've been wanting to read this for years. What an interesting time in my life to read it. After almost 2 years in pandemic, a lot of this really was more relatable than I thought. The fear of unknown, what information do you trust, the bit about the placebo pill was crazy. Thank goodness we aren't actually fighting the undead...

WWZ has always been a favorite of mine, and after recently watching that train wreck movie "adaptation" I decided to give it another listen.
Also, it was a lovely companion for a 1,100 mile road trip and a bad mood.

The writing was terrible. I couldn't finish. So, so awful.
