i am dissapointed with this book. i dropped it. i thought it would be a zombie survival book but it ended up being a interview.

The story itself is very interesting and creatively designed and narrated, but I was honestly a bit disappointed with the execution of the format. It could have been incredibly powerful, but the way the interview sections were done in this instance left me feeling like the narrator was interviewing the same person again and again, because their voices were just not distinct enough for me. I also thought it was a bit sloppy of the writer to misspell certain small things. Again, really enjoyed the story and the method of delivery -- just not the execution of that method.

I didn't know the audiobook I checked out from my library was abridged. I did enjoy the parts included, though.
Unfortunately, some of the author's views on foreign affairs were detrimentally American. For example, the Palestinian correspondent says that he was wrong about Israeli occupiers and frequently refers to them as "Jews" rather than "Zionists."

So fun. It is so tragic the movie is so not this book because this book RULES. I love the style of interviews I loved all the people he meets I love seeing the zombie apocalypse after the zombies settle in. The horror of living IN the apocalypse and how we adapt.
