most of this volume was pretty slow but holy sHIT those last couple of chapters had my heart RACING I feel out of breath

also v intrigued as to where the series is gonna go next ??? i’m convinced that light has a bigger plan but i have absolutely no idea what it is

my personal favorite arch of deathnote is the yotsuba group plot, and the manga shows it in even more detail than the anime does. truly fantastic storytelling here, and i would definitely reread. it sheds more light on the thought process of the eight from yotsuba and rem’s motivations and feelings towards light and misa. if you watched the anime first like i did, this explains some plot holes flawlessly. it’s worth all the time i spent tracking down this edition :)

Wow this book was crazy. I enjoyed the discussions of morality within this book and I knew that Light had a bigger plan! Is it weird for me to love him and Misa together? I also really enjoyed the little sporadic moments of humor. That was definitely needed for balance.
