almost 2.5 but then end saved it a little. I'm pretty sure its a 'lost in translation' problem that I'm having, but this book was so dull and repetitive. everything is 'logically thought out' over and over and over and all the same points keep getting repeated. The dialogue is super simple (again, probably a translation thing) and some of the panels are super weird. like a character will be calm in one, screaming in another, and then calm again. this is probably a stylistic choice, or an exaggeration to help reader's see the emotional responses, but for me it was just jarring.
Not sure i can last through another three volumes, this one tied the storyline up quite well if i don't think about it too much, so i may stop here.

Book was a bit confusing at times, but interested to see how it continues.
I wasn’t totally loving this volume but that ENDING wow. Made the whole volume worth it!
I really enjoy this so much.. it’s taking a turn I wasn’t expecting and I am super intrigued.. can’t wait for the next one.

Wow even though I had to use all my brain cells to read and understand their logic lol, this book was so much fun and exciting. I also love all the characters, good or bad. I miss Ryuk though and I hope to see him in the next book.
