wow! twists and turns especially towards the end! the last chapter, wow! just wow!
One of the few suspense novels that was able to surprise me at the end. A great story.
Really decent entry into a favorite genre of mine. The plot and pace hit the ground running and don't really let up. The constant perspective jumps between the core cast kept things fresh, tense, and chaotic.
I was a bit... underwhelmed by the climax. It just kind of happened out of nowhere and I was left feeling like I'd been let down in a (non-existent) promise of an insane showdown. But all the threads felt wrapped up, with enough of a potential for a sequel.

While I wasn’t ever sure who it really was in this book till the very end, I feel like the ending was really rushed. There also was just like 5 characters in the whole book which is okay but just not really what I normally read. I did like the story though and thought that it was good. I would read if you want but not a definite read.
I found it predictable. If the whole book was like the last few pages it might have been better. I guess that’s all.
Just kind of meh for me. I predicted the perp and saw the twist coming. I never got invested in the characters so by the time the ending happened, I rolled my eyes. It felt very Girl on a Train at times. But it was a super fast audio listen and I read in a day.
I loved Unexpected Guest, but this one was underwhelming for me.
