Didn't love like I did her first novel, the characters in this were just very meh and not a lot of exciting things happened but I flew through it and quite enjoyed it.

I was bored for a majority of this book. I wanted to DNF but I'm glad I stuck with it. I can't say that anything that happened was really shocking until the very end. I think it's just Lapena's writing style that just isn't doing it for me. I almost feel like she's giving too much away too soon. Just like in [b:The Couple Next Door|28815474|The Couple Next Door|Shari Lapena|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1471502242s/28815474.jpg|48284103]. Now, if the rest of the book had been as crazy and engaging as the last chapter or so, then this would be a much more enjoyable book. Sadly, this one just wasn't for me.
