Solid and compelling, BUT...
What an annoyingly abrupt ending. What was the point to that? Argh. My kindle said I was only at 78% too, but then I realized I forgot about the stupid preview at the end. Disappointing only because it was going so well, then BOOM, Mr. King decides to pack it in! For someone who wrote so vividly in "Misery" about being able to write yourself out of a corner, he sure didn't live up to his own expectations. Oh well... on to Mr. Mercedes.

Not King's best, but it was interesting.

Can't beat Stephen King for originality and terror. This story was good, but the end wasn't quite satisfying although maybe that was his point. A good quick read.

Mr. King can still make me shudder. And that is a very good thing.

Also, I loved the little not to Christine in this story.

I was very into the book and all of a sudden it ended! It was anti climatic and didn't give much of an ending. I did enjoy it until the end so I gave it 3 stars but I was mad I paid $2.99 for it. If it was paperback I'd say it was worth the money but it's only in e-book form so it will always just float around in the intricate web of technology.

Just the right level of creepy. This story gives x-files combined with IT vibes. Love it.

The novella has a nice dark atmosphere and I loved the characters. Also, pretty good pop & shows references.

2015 - I listened this story as part of Stephen King's new anthology The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Huge improvements and I loved it!

2011 - I felt that the story was a short chapter from 'From a Buick 8'. Not real impressed but it was a fun read
