I love Daine's affinity with animals. And that the wolf pack is as dynamic as a pack of humans, which is a result of Daines magis. Great book in this awesome series.

Everything in this book felt too neat and too easy, and the new characters were too helpful. The messages about not judging others by their appearance or by rumours spread about ‘their kind’ are a welcome addition for younger readers (as is the awareness that humans destroy the balance of the natural world with the hunger for their own gain), but the overall plot of ‘rebellion’ was weak at best. I liked Tkaa and Maura, but the general lack of tension or engagement I felt whilst reading this book made for a bit of a dull reading experience overall. 2.75 stars

This is a great continuation of Daine's saga. I like the new characters she meets and the new things she learns.

Content: a couple swear words, allusions to infidelity, violence

En stark tjej som huvudkaraktär, yippie. Med magiska krafter, ännu mer yippie. Boken kunde ha skrivits bättre men jaja. Den är bra i alla fall.

When I first read The Immortals Quartet back in middle school, I wasn't a huge fan of this book, and I also didn't remember much about it. Even now rereading it, it's probably my least favorite of the series, but I do have a new appreciation for it. I really like how Daine is meant to bring the animals, humans, and immortals together and the message of environmentalism. Also, I listened to this as an audiobook, which has a full cast and is amazingly executed. Daine doesn't exactly have a ton of character development, but she is forced to work past some prejudices, which is particularly interesting considering the reader has not been prompted to look deeper into this matter before.
