It was okay. Not sure what I expected but definitely wasn't this. It's ostensibly a treatise on childhood and the imagination and magic. However, at times it was disjointed (which mimics childhood) but ended up reading like a bunch of pinned together short stories. Not my favorite.

I decided to read Dandelion Wine while scrolling around Goodreads. It looked like it got all topics I never read about: tons of nostalgia, kid summer stories and sweet childhood memories. Still I went ahead with it. I was thinking that I would find some magic inspiration that only Ray Bradbury can cook. I was hoping to find the storytelling, the prose and the immersiveness I found in The Halloween Tree and it went beyond any expectations. This is an evoking, extremely beautiful masterpiece. I truly enjoyed it

“A good night sleep, or a ten minute bawl, or a pint of chocolate ice cream, or all three together, is good medicine.”

this book made me very nostalgic, but also was hard to get through at times. some parts i was on the edge of my seat, and others barely being able to finish the page.
