Yesterday I finished the first book of this series. I absolutely loved the first book, and decided I wanted to know more about the virus.
Luckily Mira Grant also made a 0.5 book that is all about the virus, the first zombies and more.
This book was a bit confusing, with all the biological terms and such, but I still loved it.
Also the fact that we have about 5+ characters and they keep switching between them (if they are still alive) was a bit annoying, since it took me at least a page to find out who was talking now.
Other than that, I would really recommend this to everyone. The first zombie attacks were awesome to read about. How slowly panic took over.

This novella does a good job of expanding on the history of the Newsflesh zombie outbreak, but outside of a little humanizing of the people involved, it doesn't really say anything new from what was conveyed in Feed.

Very disjointed, but when you read the foreword, it makes more sense.

Great prequel to the trilogy! Her books just suck me in! My only complaint is it was too short for me.

Good background in the newsflesh universe. Interesting perspective on a couple of my least favorite characters.
