Katrina is a former model with daddy issues, and she has a hot bodyguard. She's also really rich from a marriage of convenience, and basically spends her days cooking, loving on her friends, and investing in things she likes. She can't stop thinking about her bodyguard's eyebrows and the zings! Someone takes her picture at a cafe, tells some lies, and she goes viral. She doesn't like it because of her panic disorder, etc.

I thought that this was overall okay. Tbh, Katrina kind of irritated the shit out of me. I get that she had a challenging childhood, but she didn't seem to grasp how privileged she was, and all her talk of zings and eyebrows made me roll my eyes.

That said, I love rom coms set in the same universe, and it was fun getting glimpses into other characters' lives.

Solid. I would say it's a 3.5 but I liked [b:The Right Swipe|39863092|The Right Swipe (Modern Love, #1)|Alisha Rai|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1564550901l/39863092._SY75_.jpg|61659253] better so I put it at 3. I really liked the characters but thought the plot dragged a little, especially at the end. Cute tho!

I'm going to be real with yall, my expectations were sky-high. Katrina was my favorite side character in The Right Swipe and I was dying to know how her story would play out. Alisha Rai was able to exceed my expectations with this one! There were absolutely cute moments, but also complexities involving Katrina's anxiety and panic disorder (personally of which I felt were well written). Alisha Rai's ability to balance heavy topics in this contemporary romance makes this series one of my absolute favorites.

I received an ecopy of this through Edelweiss; however, all opinions are my own.
