I loved everything about this book. Not only did again some insight into my own mental health but in others as well. I can pinpoint now the moment that I really accepted the truth of being bipolar and what that meant for me. The author not only delves into the stigmas (whether societal or self-induced) of mental illness but how we can better address them. In his own battle to sort through years worth of issues, he finally comes to terms with the truth, mental illness is real. It's not going to up and go away, it's not wished away, prayed away, medicated away or even pushed away. It has to be managed and cared for in proper ways. I loved that he gave out hard facts, resources, antidotes and honest truths throughout the book. I loved seeing the encouragement as well. I took so much positive from this book. It's a great guide for anyone who is looking for help, knows someone who needs it or just needs the same reassurances I did. It's ok to not be "ok". It's even more ok to ask for help. A wonderfully written book I'll be reading again soon.
