I really enjoyed this book up until the later chapters. Simon’s main character flaw was interesting,
I thought I was rooting for Daphne, but chapter 18 cont.
happened and the way the biggest issue in this story was just shrugged off like it was nothing was wild to me and the fact that he saw himself as the one who was in the wrong is wild to me. My reaction to Daphne showing up again in every chapter was “BOO SHE STINKS.” Oh and the Bridgerton brothers annoy me.

**I also have not used the spoiler feature often so I apologize if I’ve used it wrong.

After watching Bridgerton I was sure I would like the book, but never would have guessed how completely I enjoyed it start to finish.

I don't think a book has ever made me laugh as much as The Duke and I. I adored every character we got a chance to know. I was surprised how little a part Lady Whistledown played in the book. Many of the conflicts in the book were far more satisfying than the show, feeling much more realistic and believable.

I would definitely suggest checking trigger warnings. Even with the show I wasn't expecting so much talk on a few heartbreaking subjects that could be sensitive.

All in all I'm very excited to start the next book even though Ibwas hesitant before having not really enjoyed Anthony's season of the show.

The Duke and I is exactly what you want if you’re looking for a fast and fun regency romance. I’m new to the genre, but this definitely has me hooked on the series.

I absolutely adore the “Lady Whistledown” element, she gives the story a Gossip Girl-vibe. Seriously, who is Lady Whistledown and who are her sources?!

You can’t help but to love the Bridgerton family, they exude charm and warm heartedness.

Don’t let the number of children, or novels, in the Bridgerton series intimidate you. If you’re a fan of the show, want to dip your toes in the genre, or maybe you’re even a seasoned regency romance lover, pick up this book and sip some “tea” with the Bridgertons.

“No,” he groaned, pulling her closer. “I want to be in your heart. I want—” His entire body shuddered when their skin touched. “I want to be in your soul.”

Mind boggling how this became a TV show because the characters are annoying, the conflicts are avoidable and the writing made me cringe multiple times. I didn't find it entertaining either. The only reason why I'm not rating it 1* is that I love what the TV show made with the source material and I frankly have read novels even worse than this. Maybe it's also just not my genre.
