It was all that I expected to be and some more! Really enjoyed reading it! ♥
The highlights of the book are the interviews with Emmanuelle Alt and Diane Von Furstenberg. For those interested, she also spills a little bit of the dirt on her romance and break up with Scott Schuman. This is a style guide with only a short section on wardrobe essentials: pencil skirt, pumps, white jeans, chelsea boots, bag (Lulu by Saint Laurent Paris is her favorite), biker jacket, sneakers, coat, vintage t-shirt, jean jacket, panties, ballet flats, men's shirt, white t-shirt, v-neck sweater (cashmere with deep V), sandals, hat, clutch, Ray-Ban sunglasses, mini skirt, blazer, one piece swimsuit. Other than the pumps and mini skirt, I can't argue with any of those.
The main thing I got out of this book is that I need a pair of Chelsea boots.
An interesting book of advice, life lessons, fashion tips from photographer, blogger, and illustrator Garance Dore. I really only meant to skim this one but I really liked her warm and friendly voice. Loved all the insight into the cultural differences and similarities between life in New York City and life in Paris.
The main thing I got out of this book is that I need a pair of Chelsea boots.
A fun and zany memoir about life, fashion, following your dreams, New York vs Paris, relationships, etc!
