“I guess some people’s stories are only written in the sand. And some are written in the stars.”

Another quick read for this series and it’s all about how Jessie and the brothers are not being able to trust one another. Especially Shane with Jessie, and the other way around. Since the previous book ended with a cliffhanger, this one would be a cliffhanger ending as well. Although the only reason why I ended up reading this book immediately was because our bb Liam was taken and we have to know if he’s alright or not.

Additional plus points for the sex scenes at the end because we need to see a reenactment of the first book where all five of them were involved.

Also, I can see it happening. The author is writing how Jessie will someday have to choose one of them.

The role her father played in this book was great and I loved that we actually got to see more of Jessie actually being able to do the hacking skills they’re always mentioning. The Arizona scene was great and I’m just honestly enjoying my time with these characters. That being said,, there wasn’t much that made me love this.

Jessie runs so far away that it takes Connor about two months to find her! I kind of wish that she would've held her ground a little bit more than she did. It seemed like she was finally starting over and living a life for herself since she had been living for revenge on the wolf ever since she escaped. It was nice seeing that, but then she quickly went back with Connor to go right back to the crazy world that is centered around the Ryan brothers. I think things tied up really fast with her father in this book as well. It ended really fast. The rest of the book was more about Ryan's family and everything going on back in Ireland, along with them all trying to take trips alone with Jessie. I feel like we started shifting far away from the Jessie we first met, and she hardly ever does any hack-y things anymore.

As the series continues, I'm finding myself liking it a little less each time. What began has a spicy could-not-put-done book is not starting to drag. I'm all for spicy scenes but after three books I'm starting to skip right past them. One thing I do love about this book is the glimpses of the Ryan bothers' childhood and more of Jessie's past.
