Excellent conclusion to the series! This is the boss fight you wanted to see! Through this series, Eleanor has grown greatly and hardly resembles the frightened child she once was nor the local vigilante turned to others' purposes. this Eleanor is strong, confident, determined, hardened - yet in some ways more vulnerable than ever. This is not a simple physical fight, and Eleanor knows she will need every bit of help she can get to win this fight, sometimes coming from the most unexpected places.

I loved the juxtaposition of some of the tender moments in Eleanor's past with her current reality. It helped show the journey she was on both then and in the current time to become who she was and who she needed to be, to find the strength to prevail against both the demons of her past still haunting her and her current day nemesis. Some of the fights kind of mess with your head in this one and get a little hard to follow - but it is intentional because that is what this enemy does - get in your head! It is one crazy ride and worth every minute as Eleanor works hard to outwit fate and force a better future.

This is book 3 in The Dawning of Superheroes series, which is in the shared universe of The Children of Nostradamus. This takes place prior to the The Night Series and can be read independently of that series. This is the epic conclusion to the overarching conflict that has been building since book 1 and although there is a self-contained plot it is a much richer and more enjoyable experience to read the series in order. The ending changes everything and leaves some very intriguing possibilities for more books in this world.
