I read this in one sitting, it means that it wasn’t only a fast read, but that I enjoyed it too. Before I begin, I want to say that this is my first time reading something by Katy Birchall, and also I can't remember last time reading a book with the royalty trope.

As for characters, I really did enjoy the cast of characters especially Sophie. I enjoyed hers and Tom’s relationship but it is more build up to a romance. Overall, it is a fast, easy and enjoyable read.

Listened to this as an audiobook and was expecting it to be a romance, but the platonic friendship romance was still cute. The minuscule amount of actual romance kind of seemed unnecessary. There were some parts that felt repetitive (the way too long canapé conversation as an example), but it was a fun read overall.

This is definitely not a romance. And it was tiresome

Overall a cute story with a large focus on friendships, trust, and romance. Sophie is a professional bridesmaid who assists brides in all wedding related planning, while also playing the role of a longtime friend. When she gets hired on as a bridesmaid for Lady Cordelia, Sophie faces her toughest assignment yet.

A Secret Bridesmaid is a fast paced read and a perfect book to get you out of a reading slump.

This was an interesting read, I liked the premise and honestly liked the bridesmaid storyline more than the romance one.
