This is quite simply (and also at times extraordinarily) observations of everyday, mundane, interesting, surprising moments. I'm someone who loved people-watching, and I think the mundane can be very powerful in literature, so this was right up my alley. As a whole though, I feel like it lacked a punch. It felt a bit unfinished, like a draft. It has so much of what it needs to be extraordinary, but it needed something more in my opinion.

the author invades the privacy of strangers and paints them in a negative light. she makes assumptions about them and states those assumptions as truths about humanity but really, she’s just a cynic who sees the worst in other people.
