I forced myself to finish this book for a book club. The characters were so hard to keep up with. I’m unsure if it’s because I listened to the audiobook, I simply didn’t care about the characters, or there were just too many characters. I loved the premise, but it fell flat for me.

It was a cozy and funny mystery but I felt like there were way too many side characters and it became difficult to keep track of them and their storylines. I don’t feel like they were necessary or really added to the story. Ending was a bit underwhelming but it was enjoyable.

no i'm sorry i couldn't get into the plot because i felt no connection whatsoever to the characters... i don't know if it was the writing, or maybe jt was me, but i couldn't connect to the story at all. i think my favorite part was the priest and nun story and that's saying a LOT

Meh. I’ve never had to force myself to finish a book as much as this one. To the point where I didn’t even care who did it in the end, I just wanted it to be over. I don’t even think I could summarise the plot or characters - there were too many to follow and they all blurred into one. It’s giving Midsummer Murders on ITV4

I feel like it was just aimed at an older age group, wasn't a bad book though just takes a while to read
