I'm not a big on many mysteries, but found this one to be an engaging and enjoyable read.

this book is a perfect example of "the right book at the right time".  This was my second attempt to read it and i loved it.  the first time, I was only reading a few pages at a time and couldn't follow the convoluted plot. With a bit more time invested, i was able to really appreciate the refreshing take on the mystery genre and the humour throughout.  Am looking forward to reading "Everyone on this train is a suspect when I am on my next term break.  A great, fun, read.  No sex or bad language or excessive violence.

A unique murder mystery with a dark humor twist. I highly enjoyed the melancholy narrator's tone as he uncoiled the web of knotted lies that started out as a standard family reunion.

I really liked this one. It was a good mix of funny and tense with some very dark themes. One of the few mysteries that I figured out the "who" before the ending (at about 75% of the way through) but it didn't feel spoonfed, there was just one clear option left. And I didn't figure out the "why" on my own.
