3.5 stars!

I found The Fates Divide more entertaining than its predecessors and appreciated the introduction of new voices into the fold of Roth's narrative. I found the pacing to drag a bit still, however, only truly picking up in the last hundred pages or so. Overall enjoyable but not quite a page turner.

Loved these books so much! Veronica Roth has really improved and matured as an author!

I really like the worldbuilding and a lot of the ideas/themes in this book (and the one before it), but I feel like the execution just isn’t there. The characters just aren’t likable enough and a lot of the deaths that happen feel like they come out of nowhere and/or serve no purpose in the story.

Liked the message and the characters, but plot was too slow and ending was kind of clumsy. The first book was better, in my opinion. Still, Roth done a good job in world building and charactar building.

Not a bad book, I enjoyed the way it rapped up.
As usual I think the first book of this duology was more enjoyable, I'm glad it wasn't stretched into a trilogy.

I enjoyed the addition of Ceci's voice to the story as well as getting an Elijah chapter every part though I wish we got to learn more about Elijah/that he was a bigger part of this book.
Learning about the current gifts further and getting to explore new planets and cultures was a blast, the world building of this book is really well done.

I didn't like the reintroduction of a once dead character, I think it made the book feel a little convoluted, didn't add much, actively took away from other plots.
I feel like a lot of plots and characters in this book just drop off without being wrapped up or given their time to shine.
Elijah being a prime example of this.
