3 1/2 stars. I much preferred the first book in this duology, Carve the Mark. I still had trouble with the character names, kept confusing Cisi and Cyra. I know, right? But I did enjoy the book as it had some interesting twists

I loved it. Crying in the middle so badly, I had to stop listening in the car, when I realized what the mothers had done. Amazing book and a perfect end.
