Me ha gustado el tipo de magia del que habla el libro, puesto que se parece más al tipo de magia antigua/ritual. El hermano de la protagonista ha sido mi personaje favorito la verdad. También me gusta que esté narrado por varios personajes.

horrendous 2012 paranormal romance bs. couldn't get further than 75 pages. whoops, but i don't care, i wanna move on to better books. this sucks because i love the authors other work however this was her first one so im super glad she improved from this bs.

This book is just super problematic. There is a quote where a guys says about a girl using blood magic "Maybe she's just a dumb cutter". There's also an exchange with a male friend by the love interest where he says she's hot and the friend says that she "was really eager. And we were looking forward to her brother going away to college but then her parents... And she lost weight from all the wrong places and looked skeletal and hacked her hair off." and the love interest says "Guess it's a good thing I don't have competition then" and that he liked her as she was...you know depressed. This just...isn't it.
I loved Strange Grace by the same author but this is not a book I'm going to finish. I'll be unhauling this and the second book that I own.
