Finally checked this out to see what it was all about, and.. not bad. I was entertained. After fully expecting to DNF like I did with Colleen Hoover, this was a pleasant surprise.

This book is gripping and every twist is unpredictable, I could not put it down. The ending was also so satisfying and tied everything up whilst getting you intrigued into the next book. All the characters were well-written and shrouded in mystery, keeping you guessing about their true intentions.
It was almost a 5-star book for me, but I found the main character frustratingly naive in situations where most people would recognise the danger.

The book was hard to read (listen to). At first it was Nina’s gaslighting, then Millie’s bad decisions, then a plot twist I saw coming but not to the full extent, then descriptions of torture, then mostly satisfying revenge. The first half dragged on and I was tense the entire time.
