one of the few good sequels

5/11/23 The analysis of Molly Weasley's experience when she reunites with Ginny on Harry Potter and the Sacred Text has forever changed my reading of this one.

Ginny!
"the cry of the heart that underlies the whole chapter and the whole book and maybe the whole series. The cry of a mother whose daughter is in the hands of someone who cannot empathize with other people, who cannot care and that’s a parent’s worst nightmare to have your child in the grip of hatred."

While I jokingly referred to this book as 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Annoying Characters' in reference to the plethora of unenjoyable presences introduced in this addition, I actually found the read as whole to be incredibly engaging. At multiple points I found myself unwilling to put the book down, always saying 'one more chapter'... and any reader knows how that goes.

I look forward to the third book and the introduction to my favorite character in the series! I just want to pick it up and indulge in the world.
