This is the first non fiction book I have read in a while. It was quite refreshing to be indulged in knowledge. The story of the author Tiffany made me realize I am not the only person who spent their whole early childhood assuming they were white. My situation was different from hers, but I find comfort in being able to relate to someone. I read this book in school, so I didn’t have time to do the activities, but I do hope one day I will be able to pick up this book again and do them.

Beautiful! The illustrations draw you in. Great for students and adults. I love the applicable activities that bridge the theory with our day-to-day. A must read for anyone, especially those who work with young people.

Great read filled with excellent information. This book takes complex information from a variety of places, distills it, and puts it together in an easy to understand manner. This will be my new go-to book for kids who want to learn more about anti-racism.

I hesitated to give 5 stars but this is also my part in taking action. Great for helping white folx understand BLM and other things like why we cannot say the "n" word. I wanted to argue a few points but it's more like I'd like to have a conversation with the author to have them explain little more. I definitely need to read more like this. She recommended a few mentors but I wish there was a page for further reading.
