"Fake Shot," the second book in the Boston Rebels series, completely drew me in with Jules and Colt’s heartfelt slow-burn romance. I’ve always loved stories where the chemistry is undeniable, and this one delivered. Jules, a driven entrepreneur, has had a crush on Colt, her older brother’s best friend, for what feels like forever. When a fake engagement brings them closer, it was fascinating to see their shared history and buried feelings come to the surface.

What I loved most was how Colt helped Jules work through her past trauma, showing a side of him that was much more caring and genuine than his usual playboy facade. Their journey from friends to lovers was full of humor, emotional depth, and just the right amount of tension that kept me hooked.

This book hit all the marks for me, with both characters experiencing meaningful growth while navigating their evolving relationship.

This surprised me with how good it was. I loved the premise from the beginning of a brothers best friend fake engagement story and the execution of it was done really well. I loved Jules as a character from her hobbies to her personality and her whit and sarcasm. I thought her banter and back and forth with Colt was so fun to read and it gave them a really solid foundation for a relationship. I loved the pacing of the entire story and how they fell in love with each other. I also think the balance of spice to everything else throughout this series is perfect. I loved getting to see the side characters and the team and all of the couples. I do wish that there anxiety and therapy storyline was a bit more fleshed out but that’s really my only complaint. This was a great read and now I’m all caught up with the series so I’ll just have to wait for the next one.

Not my favorite of the series but still a good book. They fake a relationship after he yells that they’re engaged to get out of a sticky situation and they have to keep it up. Woulda liked more hockey
