Definitely read this right after Foul Lady Fortune!! I loved getting reacquainted with characters from the initial duology. Love them.

Last Violent Call is comprised of two novellas surrounding the events of Foul Lady Fortune and the These Violent Delights Duet!

✨A Foul Thing
All through Our Violent Ends I was determined that surely Roma and Juliette would have a HEA. And they did!

“Science could tell him that the ground was below his feet and the sky was above his head and the early light of day was upon his back. Roma wouldn’t listen. To him, Juliette was the sun.”

Not only do we get all the sweet fluffy goodness of a married and semi normal life Roma and Juliet but the plot and story were fascinating. Especially with the novella connecting to both the events of TVD/OVE and FLF. We get all the information on how Roma and Juliette survived the fire and fled Shanghai, and some juicy details and hints of what might happen in Foul Heart Huntsman.

✨This Foul Murder
This particular novella has a delightful little murder mystery that felt very Arthur Conan Doyle meets Agatha Christie with Marshall and Benedict trying to figure out a murder on a train.

"I would reroute the train with my bare hands before I left you behind."

Marshall and Benedict were amazing fake investigators, and the whole storyline and reveal was quite interesting. And Marshall and Benedict are as adorable as they have ever been - the humour, their flirty husband banter, their soft moments... it was perfect.

✨I loved that both novellas were connected and complimented the two series so nicely. I can’t wait to read Foul Heart Huntsman when it comes out in September. I can’t thanks @tandemcollectiveglobal and @hachetteaus enough for having me on another amazing read-along.
